2014 Audi Quattro Concept Car White

The new 2014 Audi Quattro concept has vast improvements over efficiency as well as interior design. It is considered to be a real driver’s car with massive pickup speeds, easy handling, and a beautiful designed interior. There are also massive improvements on fuel economy and on overall weight and design. While the car is not slated for mass production, the concept car was accepted with great enthusiasm and there are still some that are currently holding out hope for the production of at least a few of the concept cars, despite the heavy price tag it is expected to carry.

Modifications
The new Audi Quattro is a lighter modification on older models and it is much lighter than what is currently in this class. The body of the vehicle combines a classic nature with futuristic touches of cars to come. This has an aluminum space-frame technology along with various carbon-fiber pieces such as the hatch and the hood. In white, the body weighs a total of 350 pounds but the entire car weighs in at 2866 pounds, pretty much equivalent to the old steel version of the Sport Quattro. However, the older version did not include any of the multifarious safety systems that are in the new Audi Quattro. Everything in the new concept is lighter, including even the seats which weigh in at just about 40 pounds each, even though they include typical adjustment motors.

Interior
The interior design of the 2014 Audi Quattro is quite eye-catching. There is a great deal of virtual instrumentation, including a navigation screen and several other multimedia functionalities. The wheelbase of the concept was shortened by just about six inches and the roofline was lowered by 1.4 inches. The space is somewhat tight for those drivers who are taller and it really is only a comfortable enough space to fit two people. There is however, space behind the seats for storage or luggage, even though the foot space area is somewhat cramped.

Speed and Responsiveness
While the interior of the concept car leaves very little to be desired, enthusiasts of speed will also love it. Audi maintains that the concept car gets from 0 to 62 mph in fewer than four seconds and that seems to be fairly accurate. The Quattro system under the car is also the latest that has been produced by Audi. There is a torque-sensing, rear-biased center diff made from the company’s own design that serves to sense any slip at either of the axles. It also will compensate for the slip by sending extra power to the other axle.

There is an extra quick response to steering, which is enabled by the short wheel case and low weight. The nimble nature of the car as well as its responsiveness is more indicative of a coupe. The ride motions of the vehicle are reviewed to be very well controlled and can serve to move easily during quick left to right transitions.

2014 Audi Quattro Concept Car

This concept car is clearly a car for real drivers but it is still undetermined if it will make it to mass production. If it does in fact go into production, it is estimated that only a mere 500 or 600 of the model would be manufactured and available. There is really no estimate on the price tag but the engine is an affordable one. It is assumed that the car is simply too nice to go into mass production and would be fairly expensive if it ever did make it to the production line. However, there are some car enthusiasts who are still holding out hope for at least small number of models of the vehicle becoming available.
