International Chicago Auto Show 2012 is one of the most presentable North American events in the car world. The one hundred and fourth 2012 Chicago Auto Show lasted 10 days: from February, 10 to February, 19. Each year it attracts more than million people with the new car configurations, rare models, and concept cars.


Among the most long-expected and exciting novelties, demonstrated at Chicago Auto Show, there were Volkswagen Beetle TDI , Acura ILX , Hyundai Elantra GT, Kia Track'ster Concept and Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible. New Volkswagen Beetle TDI is powered by 2-liter turbocharged diesel engine, producing 140 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. Volkswagen Beetle TDI comes with a traditional six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with double DSG clutch. A stylish exterior design was accomplished by chrome finishing and 17-inch alloy wheels.


The new Acura ILX comes in two petrol engine configurations:  2 liter engine generating 150 hp and 2.4 liter one with the capacity of 201 hp as well as two transmission options: a six-speed manual and five-speed automatic one. Hyundai Elantra GT is the most light-duty hatchback in the United States with the weight of about 2780 pounds. Under the hood there is a 1.8-liter engine with the power of 148 hp. Six-speed transmission is available in two variants: the manual and the automatic one.


The new three-door Kia Track'ster Concept features four-wheel drive and 250 hp of capacity generated by 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Extremely stylish exterior design with X-shaped fog lamps attracted a lot of public attention at the Auto Show. Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible is an open modification of the most powerful Mustang. The power of 650 hp is provided by an eight-cylinder petrol 5.8 liter engine.
