The SL Series for the German automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently been presented at New York International Auto Show and it has been reviewed on almost every aspect. The vehicle is very quick, powerful, and aesthetically pleasing.

The first area of the new SL65 to be reviewed is its apparent speed, which claims to reach 60 mph from a standstill in a mere 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph. The new SL65 boasts several enhancements aside from its speed that are sure to delight any auto enthusiast. The biggest of these is the direct injection, 6.0 liter, twin turbo V-12 that can produce 621 hp. There are also new waste gate channels, manifolds, and cylinder heads.  The new SL65 will receive an ECO stop and start system and it has been given the M279 designation as well.

There are a total of four different transmission modes currently available. They include Sport, Sport plus, Manual, and Controlled Efficiency.

The new SL65 is very aesthetically and visually appealing, as it truly stands out from any potential competition or even from any of the other models in the SL series. The front of the car includes a lowered bumper that includes LED running lamps for the daytime as well as an air grill on either side. It also has a visually appealing chrome finish on the front apron. Nineteen inch rims are standard on the car but can be changed to 20 inch rims in the back and 19 inch rims in the front if the owner chooses.

On the back of the vehicle there is of course the spoiler placed above the trunk and there are square shaped quad exhaust tips to help accentuate the overall power of the vehicle. In terms of the comfort and finer things on the SL65 AMG, there is a glass roof, a top of the line Bang & Olufsen sound system, heated seats, and an Airscarf neck heating system.
